What is a partial truckload shipment?

A partial truckload shipment, sometimes known as a volume truckload or volume LTL, is a shipment greater than 8 or so skids (and typically greater than 5,000 lbs) but less than a full truckload. Logistics specialists can coordinate to couple your partial shipment with one or two additional local shipments to create a more competitive quote compared to full truckload.
